Kruneri Legal Information

Kruneri publishes these legal pages so you can see, in plain language, how we handle your details, what our repair terms and warranty rules cover, and which cookies our website sets. The wording below reflects how the workshop on Church Street actually runs, and it replaces any earlier version we may have sent you by email after a repair or a quote.

Who we are

Kruneri is a shoe repair and restoration workshop at 511 Church Street, Richmond VIC 3121, Australia. We handle the personal information you give us when you book a repair, drop footwear in at the counter, or send us a message through this website.

For anything to do with privacy, write to kruneri@hotmail.com or call +61 3 8472 6391 during shop hours.

What we collect

We keep the information we need to do the job and to get your footwear back to you. That is usually:

  • Your name, phone number and email address
  • The address we return couriered items to, if you post a pair in
  • Notes about the work requested, including photos of damage you send us
  • Payment records for card and bank transactions
  • Messages you send through the contact form, by email or by phone

We do not ask for identity documents, and we do not keep card numbers in any form. Card details go straight to our payment provider.

Why we use it

We use your details to quote a job, contact you about a repair, arrange collection or delivery, and keep a record of what was done to each pair. We also use contact details to tell you when a repair is ready.

We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to advertising networks. If you have asked us to remind you about a future service, we will only send that reminder and nothing else.

Who else sees it

Some work needs a third party. Courier companies get the name, address and phone number needed to deliver a parcel. Our payment provider processes card payments. Our accountant sees transaction records at the end of each quarter.

Where we send information overseas, we choose providers that apply privacy protections comparable to Australian law. If you are contacting us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, we handle your information under the General Data Protection Regulation as well as Australian privacy law.

How long we keep it

Repair records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Photos of damaged footwear are deleted once a job is finished and collected, unless you have asked us to keep them on file for a warranty claim.

We store records on a password protected system, and paper job sheets are kept in a locked cabinet at the workshop. Access is limited to staff who need it to do the work.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Write to the email address above and we will respond within thirty days.

If you believe we have handled your information badly, contact us first so we can sort it out. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, or to your local data protection authority if you are in Europe.

Repairs, resoles and care advice

Drop in with your boots, sneakers or dress shoes and we will tell you what can be saved, what it costs and how long the workshop needs. No appointment, no obligation.
